Ants' Work

Israel, 2010

A colony of peculiar ants has made its home in an ordinary family apartment in Tel Aviv. Each summer, these ants have the habit of munching the labels of Diet Coke bottles, perforating them into magnificent coral-like patterns. During the summer of 2006, the ants receive an unusually hefty supply of bottles. As they nibble on the silvery labels, they are observed by their melancholic co-inhabitant; a mother, who tries to find meaning in their work.
