Alice Guy BlachéAlice Guy Blaché: Cinema Pioneer, Selections for the International Women's Film Festival in Rehovot
Rehovot International Women´s Film Festival, in collaboration with the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, are proud to present a tribute to the films of Alice Guy Blaché, a pioneer who, by her own account, created her first film in 1896 for the French company Gaumont. She became a productive director at Gaumont for the next ten years. In 1907 she moved to the U.S., and continued her career there as a director for another decade (1910-1920), including founding her own studio, Solax, in 1910
