Grown Up Movie Star

Canada, 2010

Ray, a professional football player, is forced to quit his team following a drug affair. Returning home he is in for a surprise: his wife Lillian has decided to leave him and their daughters Ruby and Rose, in order to follow her acting ambitions. Ray tries to recover and date other women, but cannot silence the rising of repressed homosexual desires. No one looks after his teen aged daughter Ruby, who dreams about trying her luck in the world of glamor, like her mother. Trying desperately to gain some attention, she assumes a provocative sexual behavior and finds herself in dangerous situations. Grown Up Movie Star starts as an entangled family drama but continues into deep and involved mental terrains, and describes a troubling and thought-provoking story of growing up.
