Rosa Luxembourg (1871-1919), aka “Red Rosa” was drawn into a world of social and political revolutionism and played a central part in constructing the Socialist world-view. Major opponent of First World War, she was sent to prison, but continued her ideological battle even behind bars. The film draws an impressive portrait of a woman with no compromises, a brilliant journalist, gifted speaker and a demanding lover, who devoted her life to people whose voice was not heard. The screening will be followed by a discussion with Tamar Gozansky, a left-wing Israeli politician concerned with rights of workers, women, children and human rights in general.
