The European Union is again delighted to support the International Women's Film Festival, now in its 6th year.
The festival's wide ranging co-operation with European women filmmakers and its rich programme of screenings, encounters and workshops deepens the already close relationship between Israelis and Europeans in the audio visual industry. This reflects the ongoing sharing of experiences and expertise between Israelis and Europeans in all fields, and especially in the area of culture. The advancement of the status of women generally, and in the film industry, is important for all, including the next generation of filmmakers.
I hope you enjoy the thematic and contemporary European films that are being screened this year. I wish the 6th International Women's Film Festival – Nashim B'Tmuna - every success.
