Grreeting of the Minister of Culture, Science ans Sport, Mr. Ghaleb Majadle

The Israeli film-making, which is the display window of the state, has been gaining unprecedented
success and recognition in Israel and the world in recent years. The Israeli experience, with
its complicated, temperamental, exciting, ironic and fascinating life flavour, comes to life in
cinematographic oeuvres, which have long ago become an inseparable part of Israeli cultural
tapestry.
The cinematography presented in the festival, created by women, gives us, the audience, a
unique point of view on the subjects which arise in society – that of the woman filmmaker.
I congratulate the filmmakers who worked hard and brought us their oeuvres.
