Dalia HagerCurrent occupation: screenwriter, director, script editor Beginning of studies: 1983 Graduation year: 1986 Apprenticeship during studies: writing and directing Biography Graduated from the Department of Film and Television at the Tel Aviv University. Director, screenwriter, journalist and script editor. She wrote and directed the film Close to Home (2005), in collaboration with Vardit Bilu. The film won the script award at the 2005 Jerusalem Festival and the C.I.C.A.E award in 2006 Berlin Festival. She produced, directed and wrote the feature film Kayitz Etzel Erika, which won the Aliza Shagrir Prize for its script (1988). The film also won the acting award in feature film competition in Valencia festival for young filmmakers (1993), and four awards at the Mograbi competition (1991): direction, script, production and acting. In the years 2001-2002 she edited the script for the television drama Zanav shel Afifon for Hamon Productions, and the script for the documentary series Ha'Oligarchim for Kol HaEmet Productions. She taught screenwriting in many institutions, among which the Department of Film and Television at the Tel Aviv University, the Sam Spiegel Film and Television School, the Film Department at the Open University, and Minshar. Her journalist work included being a news editor on ynet, Yediot Ahronot's website, editor on the weekend edition Kesef of Globes, and senior editor at Haaretz newspaper. In 2009 she spent six months in Berlin when receiving the Artist in Residence grant by the DAAD. In 2010 she served as artistic adviser at the Israel Film Fund. Today she is working on a script development for her new film. |
