The Fire

Germany, 2011

35 years old Judith gets raped on her way home from a dance night. She tries very hard to resist the change the crime brings with it and goes to the police on the advice of her lawyer. However, the destructive consequences of the rape affect her life more and more. When she realizes that there won’t be a trial, she pursues her aim to get justice by herself. She watches the man and forces “accidental” confrontations with him and his family. It looks like her obsession will lead her to brutal revenge. But Judith takes another, unusual path to proof the guilt of the rapist and get justice.

The screening will be followed by a conversation with the director Brigitte Bertele
