Sumna's Letter

Israel, 2011

Hanna Star was adopted from Romania when she was two weeks old. In the past six years she has been living in Israeli boarding schools. Now, nearing 18, she embarks on a journey, through which she will try to illuminate the darkness and uncertainties of her past. In her search for her true identity, Hanna struggles between past and present, between her biological mother and her adopting mother, while in the background she must graduate from her studies and enlist in the Israeli army. The results of this journey will change the course of her life.
