Bus

Israel, 2009

There are parallel universes in the city of Jerusalem. Aside from Egged – the national Israeli bus system, there is a Palestinian public bus service. It picks up people traveling from Eastern Jerusalem to other Arab neighborhoods and the borders of Palestine.
Crossing the Jewish part of town, the van carries dreams from a different world. But dreams are a human trait, no matter where you come from – Who does not find himself gazing through a window? Passengers ascend and descend, always on the go, trying to live life among a mishmash of rules, walls, soldiers and permits. Will they reach their destination? That depends on who they are.
