About Us

The 8th International Women's Film Festival will open on November 7, in Rehovot. More than 60 films will be screened within one week, 35 of which by Israeli women directors. The festival will focus on two main themes this year: violence against women, especially sexual violence, and women and revolution.

The festival's opening gala will take place on Monday, November 7, in the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot. Film screenings will begin on Tuesday, November 8, at the Chen Cinema in Rehovot. Many diverse events will take place during the festival, such as discussions with filmmakers, workshops, lectures and seminars.

The festival will close on Sunday, November 13, with the screening of the Israeli competition winning films and a festive outdoor screening of the film Thelma and Louise to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
